Step 5

Install

Where craftsmanship meets completion.

It’s time for installation

The most exciting part of the process. This is when your cabinetry comes to life and your new kitchen begins to take shape. Our installation team brings years of experience and attention to detail, ensuring every cabinet is aligned, leveled, and finished to perfection.
Dean Cabinetry Process - Install
We understand that cabinet installation can be one of the most challenging phases of a remodel, which is why our process is designed to keep things organized and predictable. From delivery scheduling to punch list completion, we manage every step carefully to ensure a beautiful final result.

What to Expect

  1. Scheduling: Once your cabinets are ready, our Scheduling Coordinator will reach out to confirm your installation date. We’ll typically confirm again two weeks and three days before arrival.

  2. Delivery: Cabinets are usually delivered the day before installation. Our delivery crew will bring everything inside, handle it with care, and dispose of all packaging.

  3. Installation: Our experienced installers level, secure, and align each cabinet with precision. Every seam, joint, and panel is checked to ensure a clean, consistent finish.

  4. Coordination: We work directly with your contractor and other trades to make sure everything fits into the overall timeline.

  5. Punch List: After install, we create a short list of final adjustments or touch-ups to be completed within about two weeks.

  6. Walkthrough: Your installer or Client Manager will review the cabinetry with you and note any concerns before closing out the project.

How To Prepare for a Smooth Installation

To make the process as efficient as possible, please ensure:

Existing cabinetry and countertops are removed.

Plumbing, electrical, and drywall work are complete.

Flooring is installed or ready for its final coat.

Appliances, sinks, and hardware are on-site but outside the install area.

The space is clear of other contractors during installation.

If Dean Cabinetry is handling removal and disposal, this will be scheduled before delivery.

The Dean Cabinetry Installation Approach

Installing cabinetry correctly takes skill, patience, and experience. Our installers do this work every day—they know the tricks and techniques that ensure your kitchen looks its best. For this reason, we strongly recommend using our team for installation, especially for custom cabinetry.

When we install, we take full responsibility for fit, finish, and function, as well as any punch list items that may arise. If you choose to have your contractor install the cabinetry, Dean Cabinetry will still support you, but punch list adjustments and on-site modifications will be the contractor’s responsibility.

Typical Timelines

Installation usually takes two to four days for most kitchens, though larger or more complex spaces may take longer. Custom projects or unique layouts can extend the schedule slightly.

Lead time from order to install will vary based on cabinet type:

  • Stock cabinetry: 4–8 weeks

  • Semi-custom: 12–16 weeks

  • Custom: 12+ weeks
