Expert Kitchen Cabinetry Services
in Connecticut

The kitchen is the room in your home where people (and sometimes pets!) come to gather. Well-made and designed cabinetry can enhance the look of this high-traffic space.

The right cabinet design also improves the functionality of your kitchen, making cook time faster and easier, so you can focus more on spending time with your loved ones.

Custom Cabinetry Basics

Wondering what options you have for custom cabinetry? Our motto is, if you can dream it, we can build it! That being said, there are a few aspects to consider such as cabinet construction, door style, and finishes.

Our cabinet construction types include framed or frameless, and inset or overlay. The most visible part of your kitchen cabinets is your doors and drawers, so choosing your door style is an important decision.

We can make custom kitchen cabinets with any finish. You can choose painted or stained cabinetry, or a combination!

Choosing the Right Cabinetry Services

Deciding on a Connecticut-based cabinet maker.

When choosing between cabinet makers, quality and price are obvious considerations. It’s important to also consider the experience you will have with your cabinet company.

Ask potential companies about their process, speak with their customers, and check out their reviews.

At Dean Cabinetry, we aim to be not just a cabinet maker, but a cabinet partner who makes every client’s experience a 5-star one (as you can tell from our many 5-star Google reviews!).

We are transparent about our 6-step process and communicate often and every step of the way.

Custom vs. Prefabricated Cabinetry

Many clients want to know what the differences are between custom and prefabricated cabinets. Custom cabinetry lets you personalize every detail to fit your specific needs and style, while prefabricated cabinets are more affordable and convenient.

The downside to custom cabinets is that they can be pricier and take longer to build, while prefabricated ones may not fit perfectly or offer as many options.

But don’t worry, the right choice depends on your priorities and budget, and our discovery team is here to help!

Designing Your Dream Cabinets

The design of your cabinetry is not just about looking good, but also about how well it works for you! Well-designed cabinets can make your space more organized, functional, and beautiful.

Dean Cabinetry’s designers will work with you to turn your vision into reality, ensure you have the best kitchen layout for your needs, and offer suggestions to improve functionality–such as pull-outs and optimal workflow.

Our designers will assist in narrowing down the numerous kitchen design styles to choose from.

Our Cabinetry Installation Process

At Dean Cabinetry, we have streamlined our 6-step process by working with thousands of clients over the years.

It starts with the Discovery phase, where we learn everything we can about your project and pair you with the best fit designer for you.

Next is the Budget phase–we develop budget options, so you can choose the best value option for your project.

Then comes the most fun, the Design phase! We dive into the finite details of your project and work with you as long as it takes to get it right.

Once you are happy with your kitchen design, we move into the Order phase. Here, we start making your cabinets, or order them if you choose stock or semi-custom cabinets. Once your cabinets are ready, you’re ready for the Installation phase. We communicate everything you need to be prepared for in advance.

Our installers do this every day and know the tips and tricks, and ins and outs, and have the experience to make sure your cabinetry installation goes smoothly. Last but not least, is the Follow Up phase.

We will reach out and schedule a follow-up visit to hear about your experience with us. As a small, family owned and operated business, this is an important step to help us continuously improve and make sure you truly love the results.

Cabinetry and Home Value

Does replacing your kitchen cabinets increase your home value in the Connecticut real estate market? Selecting the appropriate kitchen cabinet wood types can significantly influence your home’s value.

Cabinets crafted from premium materials with a timeless design can enhance your home’s overall worth. Moreover, cabinets that provide efficient storage solutions are a compelling selling feature.

Regardless of whether you opt for stock, semi-custom, or custom cabinets, we can assist you in selecting the ideal cabinetry that perfectly complements your home and lifestyle while also increasing its appeal to potential future buyers.

Enhancing Your Home's Functionality with Cabinetry

Did you know that the right cabinetry can make your home more functional and enjoyable?

You can customize your cabinets to fit your unique needs and preferences–whether you need more space for your favorite Le Creuset cookware or a built-in beverage area, our kitchen designers can create cabinets that work just for you.

Maximizing Space with Cabinetry

With innovative storage solutions like pull-out base cabinet drawers, utensil inserts, and corner cabinet lazy susans, your cabinets can maximize your space and keep you organized.

There are many options (not only for custom cabinets but for stock and semi-custom too!) to help you maximize your space. Your Dean Cabinetry kitchen designer will be happy to find the right storage solutions for your space.

Choosing the Right Cabinet Hardware

As one of the final design choices you will make, cabinet hardware is like the “jewelry” of your kitchen! It should coordinate with your kitchen, be comfortable to use, and enhance the overall look you are creating.

Hardware shape affects design and function, with curved edges for a traditional look that may be more comfortable to use, and square edges for a more modern look.

Working with CT's Custom Cabinet Maker

Wondering if your cabinet maker charge for design work? Some do, but Dean Cabinetry does not. Once you confirm that we will be your kitchen cabinet partner, your designer will collaborate with you for as long as it takes until you are completely happy with your design, and you are ready to finalize your plans and order your cabinets.

Some cabinet makers in Connecticut have designers that work on commission, which creates a high-pressure sales environment. Here at Dean Cabinetry, our designers do not work on commission, each designer is salary-based, we collaborate as a team, and there is no pressure– you are encouraged to choose the cabinet line and accessories that fit within your budget.

Be wary of promotional pricing on cabinets. Our prices are consistent; we don’t offer “sales” or “specials” to lure you into making a quick decision. The designer’s job is to educate you about all the available options.

Cabinetry and Sustainability

Dean Cabinetry takes great pride in operating as a lean company.  Lean is a business theory based on continuous improvement and the elimination of waste.

We feel strongly about the issue of waste, alternatives to putting items in a landfill, and what we can do to help the environment. Dean Cabinetry makes every effort to be a lean company and by donating used cabinetry, we can each do our part to help make the world a better place for all!
