Who is responsible for final punch list items after cabinets are installed?

If Dean Cabinetry installed:

The installer will make a list of final punch list items upon completion of the cabinet installation.  We will confirm this list with the client or contractor and then schedule a return visit to address the items.

Dean Cabinetry – Installation

If the contractor or client installed:

This would fall under our “delivery only” service, and they will be responsible for any punch items.

This included communication of any punch list items to Dean Cabinetry as well as installation of the items.

What do I need to do if I need adjustments after installation is completed?

If Dean Cabinetry installed the cabinets, the customer will need to email a brief list of items and send any necessary photos to the person who scheduled the installation. Dean Cabinetry will schedule a follow up appointment,

If a contractor installed the cabinets; please reach out to them directly with a list of items needed; I recommend emailing the list, so they can schedule to get everything completed in one visit.

Touch ups and adjustments are free for the first year.  After the first year they are done on a time and material basis.

How long will it take to have my punch list items completed?

Punch list lead times vary; stock cabinet lines are generally quickest, between 2 and 3 weeks.  Semi-custom and custom lines are typically 3 to 5 weeks.  Dean Cabinetry custom is generally 2 to 4 weeks.

As soon as those items come in, Dean Cabinetry will schedule an appointment for the adjustments; if it is delivery only service, they will email the contractor or homeowner to make them aware.

Is there anything I need to be aware of in my punch list?

If there’s any damage to the cabinets, Dean Cabinetry suppliers require photos and measurements of the item.

Please note that Dean Cabinetry suppliers allow for 2 orders of punch list items.  If we need to place a 3rd order of punch list items, they will require a $150 processing fee; which the homeowner or contractor would be responsible for.

It is the clients’ and contractor’s responsibility to provide measurements for any punch list items needed if it was “delivery only service”.
