John Dean Custom Wood Stain Full Overlay Kitchen
Wait a second…what is this gorgeous John Dean Custom Cherry, raised panel, full overlay kitchen doing in Tuscany, Italy? Well it’s not actually in Tuscany, but you would never know. Our client wanted to bring her custom, beautifully ornate, Tuscany style kitchen design to life in little ol’ Connecticut. She had a vision and she absolutely loves her new kitchen! You’ll notice the beautiful details in the craftsmanship of the cabinetry at the end of her peninsula, used to store her adored cookbooks. Her granite countertops by, Marble.com and mosaic tile backsplash by Pro-Source of Hartford, look lovely with her new cabinetry. The stained glass cabinet doors by Pelegano’s Stained Glass, are simply ‘bellissimo’; they compliment her custom Cherry wood hood beautifully. She chose GE appliances for her range, refrigerator and microwave; her dishwasher is by Bosch. Who needs, “Under the Tuscan Sun”, when you have this beautiful, romantic kitchen to cook in and toast with Limoncello…now that’s amore!
I’m very happy to write this review of Dean Cabinetry because of the level of care and quality of product we got for the renovation of our kitchen. I wanted, and got, a custom kitchen! Amazingly I was not able to get this from others that we considered. If I had started with Dean Cabinetry I would have saved an enormous amount of time and heartache. For those considering their services, you’ll note that they have a well laid out process that makes the renovations efficient, productive and no surprises. Further, costs are explained up front and are very reasonable especially for a full custom kitchen. In our case specifically, when I met with Paul the first time he took accurate notes and was able to deliver pretty much what I was looking for with the first design plans. In fact, Paul knew what I needed for certain items before I did, and I had put four years of thought into my kitchen. I got the kitchen that I wanted, rather than the kitchen that others wanted to give me….there’s a big difference there. I found constant collaboration on the fine details as well.
ALL of their staff that we worked with were extremely respectful of our home and it’s contents (even taking their shoes off at the point of measuring and follow up). The respect given included the gentlemen that delivered the cabinets before installation all the way through the installers. Jay was the main person on installation and his attention to detail was exceptional; because I was my own general contractor (inexperienced and naive) there were a few items that I had not considered and in the end Jay was able to fix them real-time for a beautiful result. Once the kitchen was complete, Leah came for the followup visit for feedback. In all my life I have NEVER had a contractor come back for follow up feedback and this is a sign that they care and want to continue improving. Finally, it was very important that my renovations be completed within a certain time frame due to my work situation and they delivered on that too! Bottom line: don’t waste your time going elsewhere if you desire a custom kitchen because you will not do better than using Dean Cabinetry. If you follow their process, which is actually very well thought out, it will make your experience even better.
