South Glastonbury, Connecticut
Stunning!! This gorgeous John Dean Custom white, inset kitchen was designed by our client! She has an architectural background and did a fantastic job creating their vision for their new dream kitchen. We love this layout; it looks as if it has always been in their lovely Tudor home. Our clients wanted to create a vintage, farmhouse design and the one item that inspired this beautiful kitchen, was this antique brass faucet, from Newport Brass. The antique brass doesn’t stop there…all their hardware and latches match perfectly. Note the unique, vintage, hand blown glass light fixture, from Etsy over their farm sink. The stone subway tile is simple, and enhances their cabinetry exquisitely. The Brazilian white marble countertops, by Hartford Granite look so elegant and they complement every detail in their kitchen. They also wanted to bring some warm wood tones into their kitchen that carry over from their beamed ceiling, dry bar and pantry area. They chose an oak island in a lovely stain, which enhances their beautiful wood floors. Their Subzero panel ready refrigerator looks great with their cabinetry. Although they debated having room for a double oven, they decided on a Wolf Range and a Wolf transitional microwave, which has a warming drawer feature, that they added to their island. We are so happy to be a part of this gorgeous design. When we asked our clients, “what was their favorite item in their new kitchen?” the answer we received was not what we were expecting. She said, “I love my small food processor that purees veggies that my husband would rather not see in his dinner”…we love this! This beautiful new kitchen brings out the rustic charm of their incredible casement windows, beamed ceilings, and whimsical Tudor cottage, front door entrance…it’s like a fairy tale. So, whether or not your name is Hansel or Gretel, all fairy tale creatures are welcome for some warm apple cider and a gingerbread cookie…just steer clear of the oven!
