For our next project spotlight, we transport ourselves to a quaint 1940s kitchen in Manchester, Connecticut. Despite its undeniable retro charm, the original design of this kitchen lacked modern functionality. With only one small wall of cabinets, our clients grappled with limited prep area for cooking and overall storage space.

Collaborating with Cherie Birch, of Birch Tree Design and Remodeling, we embarked on a mission to propel the space into the 21st century. Opting for Designers Choice Rockledge Maple Shaker Cabinets, with their Cafe stain, this kitchen is now infused with warmth and modernity and topped with a contemporary white quartz countertop.

Notice that no corner of this kitchen goes to waste!  Half-depth cabinets with adjustable roll-outs were introduced along one wall to allow for easy and accessible storage for small appliances.  Easy reach corner cabinets eliminate dead corners.  And what’s a kitchen without an island? A petite three-drawer island not only keeps kitchen essentials within arm’s reach but also provides additional prepping space our clients dreamed of!

To illuminate the room, new overhead and under-counter lighting ensures every nook shines brightly.  A Franke Undermount sink and GE Appliances finish off the space.  And let’s not overlook the pantry closet – custom shelves have transformed chaos into organization.

The outcome? A cozy new kitchen exuding warmth while optimizing storage, ensuring every square inch is maximized to its fullest potential. We are thrilled for our client and all of the wonderful memories they will create in their functional and beautiful kitchen!

We worked with Dean Cabinetry on our kitchen renovation in December/January. We started the process in June. I point that out to emphasize the patience and care they showed with our project. Selecting the type of cabinetry we wanted proved harder than I expected. Through that time they answered my million questions and were so generous with letting us hang on to samples. Once we selected the cabinets they were thorough in the planning, coming out multiple times to check measurements, go over the layout etc. Our installation process was so smooth. Details were checked and rechecked and finalized once we gave the final go ahead. Every person we worked with at each step was professional, kind, thorough, and committed to providing us a quality product. A kitchen renovation is stressful to begin with – they made this as easy as I could hope for. I would absolutely use them again. – Our Happy Client
