In 2023, this tight-knit family decided to move closer to their loved ones, finding a home in the same neighborhood. While they loved their new home, the kitchen layout felt a bit closed in. The original kitchen posed several challenges, including a peninsula that disrupted the flow and floating cabinets that made the space feel small. Having previously lived in an open-concept home that worked perfectly for their young children, they missed the ease of preparing meals while keeping an eye on the kids as they did homework. Naturally, they wanted to open up the space to better suit their family’s needs.
Dean Cabinetry became the next step in their journey, and we were grateful to help finalize all the cabinet design details. The homeowners selected Framed Overlay Fabuwood Galaxy cabinets in a soft off-white Dove, paired with a quartz countertop and classic subway tile backsplash. With this new kitchen layout, they are able to enjoy a dine-in area and extra counter space for meal prep. Floating shelves and glass cabinets framing the window add a personalized decorative touch. Their farmhouse sink is paired with a soft gold kitchen faucet, complemented by stylish gold pulls, knobs, and pendant lights.
On the opposite wall, a Kitchenaid cooktop sits beneath a Fabuwood Signature hood. Convenient features like a spice pull-out, tray cabinet, and ample drawers for pots and pans provide organization and easy access to all the essentials. A GE double wall oven and a tall pantry ensure everything is within easy reach.
And let’s not forget the beverage center! It includes an appliance garage, another tall pantry, glass-paneled doors, and additional floating shelves, perfect for displaying a favorite collection of glassware or keeping everything beautifully organized.
Now, the heart of their home is as open and inviting as their family ties, offering the perfect blend of style, function, and comfort for years of joyful gatherings.
