We’re happy to share a story about one of our newest projects… Imagine a bustling household housing up to five active kids at any one time, three energetic dogs, and a curious cat – it’s a full house for sure! One day, a bit of a disaster struck when the kitchen pipes burst, causing quite a mess. Luckily, this misfortune turned into an opportunity for our clients to redesign their kitchen to meet their current needs.
Functionality and efficiency were at the top of their list. The existing kitchen lacked adequate storage, forcing them to store their small appliances and pots and pans in various locations. They wanted storage in the peninsula, where they could conveniently and easily store pet food, and prevent their beloved dogs from getting into the trash.
Our clients chose framed, full overlay Fabuwood Galaxy cabinets in a lovely Nickel finish. To complement the gray cabinets, they selected a black Ruvati farm sink, matching black drawer pulls, and a beautiful countertop of Quartz Cascade from ATZ Granite. For the backsplash, they went with Nauset White matte wavy subway tiles from Tile America, adding a touch of texture and style.
We maximized storage space with two sets of symmetrical pantry cabinets flanking the Frigidaire Professional single-door refrigerator and freezer. The pantry on the left stores pots, pans, and small appliances, while the pantry on the right stores food and snacks.
There are even a couple of unconventional configurations:
- Their trash & recycling is accessed from the end of the peninsula
- The cabinet on the back side of the peninsula provides easy access and a convenient way to store their pet food.
As a bonus, these clients decided to give a chic and modern look to their beverage center using the same Fabuwood cabinetry and glass Dusk herringbone backsplash. They added baskets to the “wine bottle “ nooks creating convenient storage for small items.
This project was all about transforming a sometimes chaotic kitchen into a space that works perfectly for a dynamic family. It’s a testament to how thoughtful design and the right products can make a world of difference!
