Tucked into a quiet Glastonbury cul-de-sac, this kitchen renovation brought fresh life and style to a well-loved home. The homeowners were ready for a full transformation—one that would not only enhance the function of the space, but also reflect their style with warmth, contrast, and character.
Contractor and Interior Designer Abby Kilgore and Dean Cabinetry stepped in to help reimagine the floor plan, and create a more open, usable layout. From the start, the goal was clear: make the kitchen a destination, not just a pass-through.
The additions of custom shelving and a new window and door configuration introduced more natural light and improved functionality. A freestanding custom hood brought visual structure and a bespoke feel to the overall design.
The kitchen now features a beautiful blend of colors, wood tones, and textures that add dimension without overwhelming the space.
Cabinetry from the Dean Cabinetry Custom line, in a soft, neutral finish, anchors the design. A variety of hardware from Top Knobs, and a sleek Brizo faucet, offer upscale touches.
The countertops, sourced from Stone Valley, provide both durability and elegance, tying in with the natural wood flooring that was carefully refinished during the renovation.
The built-in banquette now serves as a favorite gathering spot, ideal for everything from casual breakfasts to evening chats. Open shelving and smart cabinetry offer convenience without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. The team made each design decision with the homeowners’ lifestyle in mind—and it shows.
The final result is a space that balances form and function with ease. It’s cozy yet fresh, sophisticated but approachable!
