After more than 20 years in their Stamford home, this family knew it was time to breathe new life into their well-loved kitchen. One of the challenges they mentioned during our discovery phase was a “Devil’s corner” in the kitchen layout—a notoriously difficult area to design and work around. But thanks to thoughtful problem-solving from designer Paul and the rest of the team, it became one of the kitchen’s standout features.
They also revamped a dark corner desk into a bright, stylish, practical bar nook complete with cabinetry, a beverage fridge, and a small sink. A perfect place for the family’s espresso machine to make a morning coffee or to prepare drinks while hosting!
They chose Dean Cabinetry’s Custom Overlay Cabinets painted Chantilly Lace white, which brought a crisp, timeless feel to the room. The Custom maple stained island, adds warmth and contrast, anchors the space beautifully—perfect for everything from baking days to casual meals. The kitchen is fully outfitted with sleek, modern appliances, including a recessed microwave, a spacious refrigerator, wall oven complimented with a stainless steel hood, dishwasher, and a deep single-basin sink.
Installer Keaton was a standout during the final phase, resolving unexpected issues with skill and calm. They were especially appreciative of Keaton’s attention to detail and ability to think on his feet—a key to delivering a flawless finish.
Every detail—from the cabinetry layout to the finishing trim—was carefully thought out and expertly executed. Now, the kitchen is exactly what they hoped it would be: a light-filled, functional space that feels just right for their family’s everyday rhythm and for welcoming guests. The renovation has brought a new energy to their home, one that feels equal parts fresh and familiar.
