After years of living in Massachusetts, a couple with two adult children was excited to return to their roots in Glastonbury, Connecticut. They were ready to start a new chapter in a custom-built home made just for them.
At the center of their vision was a kitchen that would become the heart of the home—a place for gathering, cooking, and everyday connection.
Finding the Right Cabinetry Partner
With a brand-new build ahead of them, the homeowners needed cabinetry that offered both timeless beauty and everyday function. Their search led them to Dean Cabinetry, a name they kept hearing from local referrals. Again and again, friends and neighbors echoed the same recommendation: “Dean, Dean, Dean!”
Partnering with their trusted contractor, Butch James of HJ Contractors, and interior designer Lori Cottrell, they brought their vision to life with confidence.
A Collaborative Design Experience
The design process was smooth and enjoyable. Paul from Dean Cabinetry guided the couple through each step, offering expert advice and thoughtful solutions. The homeowners found the entire Dean team easy to work with—professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in the project’s success.
A Kitchen That Balances Beauty and Function
The finished kitchen blends elegant design with practical features. The main cabinetry, from the Dean Cabinetry line, is painted in “Stone Hearth”, creating a warm and inviting foundation. At the center, a large island crafted from rich, stained walnut makes a striking statement, offering both sophisticated contrast and generous workspace.
To complete the space, Pistritto Marble Imports, Inc. provided the countertops, adding timeless elegance, while new Thermador appliances bring modern luxury and functionality to the design.
Beyond the Kitchen: Thoughtful Details Throughout
Dean Cabinetry didn’t stop at the kitchen. Their team also crafted custom cabinetry for the home’s butler’s pantry and laundry room. These details create a cohesive feel throughout the home and add style to every corner.
The Final Result: A Space to Enjoy for Years
The homeowners were thrilled with the final result. They appreciated the professionalism, knowledge, and problem-solving skills of the Dean Cabinetry team—from the first meeting to the final install.
Google Review: “We are so grateful to Dean Cabinetry for our beautiful kitchen, pantry, and laundry room cabinets—they are gorgeous!
