When this West Hartford family began planning a home remodel and addition, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to finally get their dream kitchen. With two young daughters and busy schedules, they needed a space that was functional, stylish, and designed to grow with them.
Working with Oxford Builders and the team at Dean Cabinetry, they set out to create a warm, welcoming hub that would serve as the heart of their forever home.
Their contractor referred them to Dean Cabinetry, where they explored our custom line and found the perfect fit—high-end design at a lower cost than other quotes they had received. From the first meeting, our team worked closely with them to deliver cabinetry that matched their vision, while maximizing both style and functionality.
The outcome features custom cabinetry, blending clean lines with standout details, including thoughtful touches like a hidden touch-latch cabinet and an automatic-open trash pullout–two of the client’s favorite features.
The family carefully selected a Sub-Zero fridge/freezer, Cafe double ovens and dishwasher, a Zephyr beverage fridge, and an induction cooktop to complement the space.
In addition to the kitchen, this home also has built-ins in the great room, a beautifully organized laundry room, and a serene master bath—all tied together with consistent, elegant cabinetry.
One of the biggest honors for Dean Cabinetry? The homeowner says “It feels like we’re living in an issue of Architectural Digest!” The blend of high function and polished design was exactly what they had envisioned, and the entire team—from design to installation—helped make it a reality. Everything ran smoothly, and thanks to strong coordination with Oxford Builders, the project stayed on time and on track.
Now, the space doesn’t just look beautiful—it works beautifully too. Every cabinet, appliance, and layout choice reflects how the family actually lives. It’s a kitchen that feels elevated without feeling untouchable—a show-stopper that still feels like home.

Dean Cabinetry made our dreams come true with our full house remodel/addition (kitchen, great room built ins/laundry room and master bath). The team was wonderful to work with, helped us fulfill all of our design requests with extra bells and whistles built in. Our house is a show stopper and we couldn’t have done it without them. Highly recommend.
